Review by hotel critic
During my recent stay at Aldea, I was pleasantly surprised by the culinary offerings and the restaurant's inviting atmosphere. Each morning, I enjoyed a delightful breakfast with stunning views—one that complemented my passion for the picturesque landscapes of my homeland, Ireland. The option to choose between a continental or à la carte meal allowed me to explore various flavors. One particularly memorable dining experience was a dinner at Katerina’s Traditional Restaurant nearby, where I indulged in local delicacies that truly transported me to the heart of Santorini's culinary heritage. The ambiance was warm, fostering a sense of community that I cherished. While Aldea’s small pool area offered the perfect relaxation space, I found myself missing a vibrant bar to further engage with fellow travelers. Nonetheless, the attentive staff ensured that my needs were met, including helping facilitate food delivery and coordinating transport seamlessly. Aldea provided a serene base to explore the culinary landscape of the island and its charming towns. I would gladly return for another quiet retreat.
